In oxy-fuel cutting, steel is oxidised and separated by a pure oxygen jet. The process is particularly economical for thick plates from approximately 25 mm up to 200 mm. Structural steel, fine-grain steel and wear-resistant grades can be cut to maximum thicknesses with high precision.
The CNC oxy-fuel cutting machine travels over a format of 20,000 × 3,500 mm. Large-format heavy plates and structural plates can be processed in a single pass. Automatic bevel cutting to ±45° enables weld seam preparation without secondary operations.
Flame-cut parts from structural steel, fine-grain steel and wear-resistant grades are manufactured to drawing. Individual parts and small batches are available without minimum order quantities.
Cut quality is assessed to EN ISO 9013. For load-bearing components and weld seams, reworking such as grinding or thermal straightening is carried out where required. Contract manufacturing follows the customer's drawing and acceptance conditions.
Flame-cut parts are regularly processed further directly in-house: welding, sandblasting and painting in Lorch are integrated follow-on steps. External interim storage and logistics between production steps are eliminated – saving time and costs.
Quality assurance is carried out in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 with seamless material traceability. Material certificates for all steels and special steels used are provided on request or where a project requires them, and included with the delivery.

Flame-cut parts can be welded, machined and painted in the same facility. Oxy-fuel cutting in Lorch is integrated into a complete manufacturing process: after cutting, flame-cut parts pass directly into welded assembly production, are then shot blasted and painted to customer specification. For wear-resistant and high-strength grades, all machining steps are possible in the same facility. Quality documentation to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 is available for all order types. Long, narrow oxy-fuel cut parts in S355 run over the machine regularly — flats, flanges and web plates, cut from heavy plate instead of being cropped to length from section. The 20,000 × 3,500 mm bed is what makes it possible: a part like this is produced in a single piece, with no splice and no intermediate cut.
The cut faces carry the drag lines typical of oxy-fuel cutting; the quality is assessed to EN ISO 9013. Whether the part is then ground, straightened or bevelled straight away is decided by the drawing. Welding, blasting and painting follow in the same works.

Blanks with an inner cut-out, rings and freely programmed contours are the second standard case. The shape makes little difference to the machine — plate thickness governs feed rate, kerf and cost, and oxy-fuel handles up to 200 mm.
Both examples are recurring jobs, not a limit value. We review material, thickness, length and contour for each drawing — together with the question of what edge the part needs afterwards.
