Supplier for conveying & recycling technology

As a steel fabrication supplier for conveying and recycling technology we manufacture welded and machined assemblies to drawing: screw conveyors, conveyor frames, crusher and screening plant components as well as wear plates in wear-resistant steel. These components run under continuous load, abrasion and impact stress — service life and dimensional accuracy determine maintenance intervals and plant availability.

Wear is the core issue in this industry. We therefore routinely process wear-resistant grades such as Hardox 400/500 and XAR: flame-cut up to 200 mm, hydraulically bent up to 1,000 t press force and welded precisely into load-bearing structures.

From cutting through welding to EN ISO 3834-2 to CNC large-part machining and surface treatment, everything is produced under one roof in Lorch in the Stuttgart region. That shortens lead times, avoids interfaces between several suppliers and secures complete material traceability to EN 10204.

Materials: structural steel and wear-resistant steel

Two material groups carry this industry: structural steel S235/S355 for frames, housings and supporting structures — and wear-resistant steel wherever bulk material, scrap or rock works directly against the component.

  • Structural steel S235, S355 – Standard structural steel
  • Hardox 400 / 500 – wear-resistant steel for high-stress components
  • Special steels to drawing and customer specification

Both groups are available from our own stock — with a 3.1 mill certificate to EN 10204 and complete marking from the blank to the finished assembly. Wear plates for crusher and screening plants are fitted precisely; where corrosion protection is added, shot blasting (Sa 2.5) and industrial painting to EN ISO 12944 follow in the same works.

Certified welding, in-house inspection

Load-bearing structures for conveying technology and recycling plants are welded to DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3 — the highest execution class certified in practice — and to EN ISO 3834-2. For every assembly we document material traceability to EN 10204 through to the 3.1 mill certificate.

Non-destructive testing in-house

Welds on screw conveyors, frames and housings are inspected by certified inspectors directly in production:

  • Visual testing (VT), dye penetrant testing (PT) and magnetic particle testing (MT) — our own Level 2 inspectors to DIN EN ISO 9712, with no external waiting times.
  • Ultrasonic testing (UT) is carried out at our plant on a project basis by certified inspection personnel of our cooperation partner. Supplementary destructive tests such as tensile tests are coordinated through accredited partner laboratories.

Inspection scope and documentation follow your specification — from a single inspection report to complete documentation per assembly.

Frequently asked questions — conveying & recycling technology

Does Bock manufacture wear parts and assemblies for conveying technology to drawing?

Yes. We manufacture screw conveyors, conveyor frames, crusher and screening plant components as well as wear plates to your drawing — welded to DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3 and machined. We do not offer series products of our own; as a contract manufacturer we produce exactly to your specifications.

Which materials are used in conveying and recycling technology?

Mainly structural steel S235/S355 for load-bearing frames, housings and screws as well as wear-resistant grades such as Hardox 400/500 and XAR for every surface where bulk material works — from our own stock, with a 3.1 mill certificate to EN 10204. Special materials are processed to your specification.

Up to what size and weight does Bock manufacture plant components?

Up to 50 t part weight and 26 m component length. The crane system with 25 t handles the parts safely — including loading onto special transports directly at the Lorch plant.

How are welds on conveyor frames and crusher housings inspected and documented?

Our own inspectors carry out visual testing (VT), dye penetrant testing (PT) and magnetic particle testing (MT) to DIN EN ISO 9712 Level 2 directly in-house; ultrasonic testing (UT) is performed at our plant by our cooperation partner. Documentation follows your specification — from the inspection report to the 3.1 mill certificate to EN 10204.

Does Bock as a steel fabrication supplier for conveying technology also carry out the machining?

Yes. Welded frames, housings and screws are machined completely in-house after welding — on gantry milling machines with up to 26 m of travel, vertical lathes up to Ø 4,800 mm and horizontal boring mills.

In which region does Bock deliver components for conveying technology and recycling?

We manufacture in Lorch in the Stuttgart region and supply customers in Baden-Württemberg, throughout Germany and in the DACH region. Heavy components are loaded onto special transports ex works.
