Your steel fabrication supplier — across all industries
As a certified contract manufacturer, Bock Maschinenbau produces welded and machined steel components for a broad range of industrial sectors. Whether machine frame, crane girder, pressure vessel or lock gate — we combine cutting, forming, welding, CNC large-part machining, surface finishing and assembly under one roof.
The same applies to every industry — traceable quality to DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3, predominantly European quality steels with a 3.1 mill certificate to EN 10204 and heavy components up to 50 t, delivered on time and complete from Lorch in the Stuttgart region.
Every industry places different demands on material, weld quality and documentation. Below you will therefore find a dedicated page for each industry with typical components, suitable materials and the manufacturing processes behind them — from the flame-cut blank to industrial painting.

Quality that every industry can verify
Whether crane girder, pressure vessel or lock gate — every industry requires reliable documentation. Bock is certified to DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3, the highest execution class certified in practice for load-bearing steel components, and to EN ISO 3834-2 for comprehensive welding quality. For vessel and apparatus construction, approval to AD 2000 HP 0 is added; material re-stamping to EN 10204 is authorised by GSI SLV München.
Non-destructive testing in-house
Inspection before it leaves the plant — with our own certified inspection personnel:
- Visual testing (VT), dye penetrant testing (PT) and magnetic particle testing (MT) are carried out in-house by our own Level 2 inspectors to DIN EN ISO 9712. Ultrasonic testing (UT) is carried out at our plant on a project basis by certified inspection personnel of our cooperation partner.
- Supplementary tests such as tensile tests or notched-bar impact tests are arranged through accredited partner laboratories.
Inspection scope and documentation follow your drawing, the standard and the industry — from a simple inspection report to complete weld and material documentation with a 3.1 mill certificate.
Frequently asked questions about our industries
Which industries does Bock Maschinenbau manufacture for?
Bock supplies machine tool and press manufacturing, special machinery and plant engineering, crane and lifting technology, the construction and building materials industry, vehicle and transport engineering, foundation engineering, apparatus and vessel construction, conveying technology, energy engineering, pipeline and offshore construction, infrastructure and bridge construction as well as hydraulic steel structures, among others — as a contract manufacturer certified to DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3.
Up to what weight and size does Bock manufacture?
We manufacture welded assemblies and large components up to 50 t part weight and up to 26 m in length. CNC large-part machining covers gantry milling up to 26 m of travel and vertical turning up to Ø 4,800 mm.
How does an enquiry work?
You send us your drawings — as PDF, STEP or DXF. We assess feasibility, material availability and lead time and prepare a no-obligation quote. Once the order is placed, we manufacture entirely in-house, on request including inspection documentation and a 3.1 mill certificate to EN 10204.
Does Bock also manufacture single parts?
Yes. As a contract manufacturer we work with no minimum quantities — from the single prototype through the spare part to drawing to the recurring small series. Industry-specific special components in particular are often produced here as one-offs.
Can customer-supplied components also be machined?
Yes. Castings and welded structures supplied by the customer are finish-machined by us — on our CNC large-part machining centres to drawing.
From which region does Bock Maschinenbau deliver?
The Lorch site (Ostalbkreis) is located in the Stuttgart region. We deliver throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Europe — our in-house production and the location on the B29 make deliveries beyond the region plannable as well.
