Every essential manufacturing step under one roof – from the flame-cut blank to the painted assembly.

Quality through documented standards

Our certifications are not an end in themselves – they are documented proof of the quality standards to which we manufacture every day at our site in Lorch in the Remstal (Ostalbkreis). As a certified welding contractor to DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3 and EN ISO 3834-2, we meet the requirements for load-bearing steel structures of the highest execution classes.

Process reliability that is verified – not just claimed: Every welding process is qualified, approved and monitored by our International Welding Engineer (IWE/EWE) – from the welding procedure specification (WPS) through to non-destructive final inspection.

For our customers this means: complete traceability, reproducible quality and the assurance of working with an audited manufacturing partner.

Questions about our certifications

What certifications does Bock Maschinenbau hold?

Bock Maschinenbau GmbH is a certified welding contractor to DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3 and EN ISO 3834-2. Additional certifications cover EN ISO 12944 (industrial painting) and AD 2000 Merkblatt HP 0 (pressure vessel construction).

Which bodies certify Bock Maschinenbau?

The certificates are issued by independent, neutral bodies and are monitored regularly: DVS ZERT – the neutral certification body of the DVS (Deutscher Verband für Schweißen und verwandte Verfahren) – for DIN EN 1090-2 and EN ISO 3834-2, GSI – Gesellschaft für Schweißtechnik International mbH (SLV) for AD 2000 HP 0 and the re-stamping certificate, and TÜO – Technische Überwachungsorganisation für Sicherheit, Qualität und Umweltschutz GmbH for quality management to DIN EN ISO 9001.

What does DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3 mean?

DIN EN 1090-2 governs the technical requirements for the execution of steel structures. Execution Class EXC3 (Execution Class 3) is the second-highest of the four classes EXC1 to EXC4 and requires comprehensive quality assurance, qualified welding personnel and complete documentation – suitable for safety-relevant steel components in crane construction, plant engineering and offshore.

Up to which execution class can Bock Maschinenbau manufacture?

We manufacture up to Execution Class EXC3 in accordance with DIN EN 1090-2. This covers the vast majority of safety-relevant steel construction tasks requested by our customers in crane manufacturing, vehicle engineering, plant construction and offshore.

What do IWE and EWE mean in welding supervision?

IWE stands for International Welding Engineer, EWE for European Welding Engineer – the highest qualification level of welding supervision to DVS and IIW. At Bock Maschinenbau, H. Bock is responsible as IWE/EWE for welding supervision to DIN EN 1090-2, approves the welding procedure specifications (WPS) and safeguards quality. The team is complemented by a welding specialist (IWS – International Welding Specialist).

Which non-destructive testing methods (NDT) does Bock offer?

Bock Maschinenbau inspects weld seams and components with its own inspection personnel certified to DIN EN ISO 9712 at Level 2 – non-destructively, i.e. without damaging the component: magnetic particle testing (MT), dye penetrant testing (PT) and visual testing (VT). The scope of inspection, records and documentation are based on the drawing, standard and customer specification.

Where does Bock Maschinenbau manufacture its certified components?

Our plant is located in Lorch in the Remstal (Ostalbkreis) – conveniently situated in the Stuttgart region / Baden-Württemberg. There we manufacture all certified welded and steel structures to DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3 and supply customers throughout the DACH region and across Europe from here.

Can certificates be requested as PDF?

Yes. Current certificates and qualification records are available on this page as PDF downloads. For project-specific document packages or supplier approvals, we can also bundle the relevant records on request.
