About the Role

We are looking for welders (m/f/d) to join our team in 73547 Lorch, near Schwäbisch Gmünd, Baden-Württemberg. At Bock Maschinenbau, you will weld challenging steel assemblies, special machinery parts and large structures — MIG/MAG, TIG and submerged arc welding.

Certified welder in the certified welding fabricator for custom machinery and contract manufacturing, Bock Maschinenbau

Your Responsibilities

  • MIG/MAG welding of steel assemblies and special-purpose machinery
  • TIG welding for high-quality joints and special materials
  • Submerged arc welding (SAW) on fully automated systems
  • Welding to drawings and welding plans (DIN EN 1090 EXC3)
  • Quality control and self-inspection of weld seams
  • Tack welding and assembly of structural components

Your Profile

  • Completed apprenticeship as a welder, metalworker or similar
  • Valid welding qualifications to DIN EN ISO 9606-1 (MIG/MAG, TIG, SAW) are an advantage
  • Experience with structural steel, high-strength steel and stainless steel
  • Independent and precise working approach
  • Willingness to work to quality standards in a certified DIN EN 1090 environment

Submerged arc: 7 m boom, 1,250 A

You weld MAG, MIG, TIG and fully mechanised submerged arc on ESAB systems with booms reaching up to 7 m and welding currents up to 1,250 A.

Assemblies up to 50 t, no assembly line

You join large-format assemblies and special-machine parts up to 50 t on the 2×25 t crane — from S235 to S690, Hardox and stainless steel, every component a one-off from batch 1.

EXC3 with in-house NDT

You weld to DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3 and EN ISO 3834-2 — your welds are inspected and documented by VT, PT and MT to ISO 9712 directly in the works.
