Full-time · Permanent · 73547 Lorch, Baden-Württemberg · Immediate start
As a Dispatch Operative / Goods-In (m/f/d), you take in haulier deliveries, pack finished welded assemblies ready for shipping and secure them for transport – components up to 50 t, loaded with forklift and 25 t overhead crane, in 73547 Lorch, Ostalbkreis – near Schwäbisch Gmünd.

Vessels for plant engineering, crane girders, rolled XXL pipes or frames for special machinery – what leaves our workshop rarely looks the same twice. Sometimes three pallets stand side by side on the truck bed, sometimes it is a single large component that needs a low-loader and a permit. Load securing is no off-the-shelf solution either. Where the timber bearers go, which lashing points are used and whether the part also has to be protected with film always depends on the individual component. In the end, one thing matters above all: after a few hundred kilometres, everything should reach the customer exactly as it left our workshop.
What you work with every day — the equipment, tasks and technology of this position.
You load finished welded structures up to 50 t onto low-loaders and special transports – on the 25 t overhead crane, two of them coupled, and with the 16 t forklift. For some parts a haulier comes out just to collect that one piece.
You decide how things are lashed, bedded and braced – on parts that weigh several tonnes. With us this is done by dispatch, not by whoever happens to have time.
Goods-in, packing, securing and loading are all in your hands – plus the occasional trip to one of our manufacturing partners. You can obtain the forklift and crane licence with us.
A financially healthy family business for over 60 years — more personal than a large corporation and crisis-proof across many industries (crane construction, vehicle manufacturing, plant engineering, offshore).
Performance-based pay plus holiday pay and a special bonus payment.
A full 30 days of paid leave every year — real time to recharge, easy to plan.
We think ahead: a company pension scheme and employer-subsidised capital-forming savings benefits.
Additional company-sponsored health insurance — for the well-being of our employees.
A subsidy towards travel costs — for a relaxed commute within the region.
Forklift licence, crane licence and the regular safety briefings are provided in-house — missing qualifications are acquired here, not required beforehand.
Christmas parties and shared celebrations — here, team spirit is something we celebrate too.
A short call clears up whatever the advert leaves open. The application itself goes through the form.

Good German makes everyday work on the shop floor easier: drawings, welding plans and team coordination are all in German. It does not have to be perfect. At Bock, colleagues from many nations work side by side, some with little German — what counts is the craft. If in doubt, a short phone call is best: a conversation clears this up faster than a form.
Yes. Trial work is common with us and has proven its worth: a day on the shop floor shows both sides more than a long conversation — what the work really looks like and how it fits in the team. The date is arranged individually once the application has arrived. The day serves mutual acquaintance and is not paid.
Every application is reviewed personally here. Usually a short phone call follows, then a personal interview and, where it fits, a trial workday. Because we go through the documents thoroughly, a reply can sometimes take a little while; nothing gets lost in the process. For questions in between, a call to the extension above helps.
That cannot be answered in general terms. The recognition of foreign qualifications is not decided by us but by the competent authorities, and it is always assessed case by case. For an application this is not an exclusion criterion: what counts is what someone can do and wants to do — existing certificates, work experience, the trial workday and honest interest in the job.
A cover letter is not required. A CV and references do belong with it, though — without them an application cannot be assessed. It also helps to add a short introduction in the message field: a few sentences about experience and motivation often say more than a certificate.
No cover letter needed — a CV, references and a short personal introduction are enough.
