About the Role
As a Sawyer (m/f/d), you will cut bar stock, pipes and beams to cutting lists on modern automatic sawing machines (MEBA, Kaltenbach, Behringer) at our site in 73547 Lorch, Ostalbkreis – near Schwäbisch Gmünd.
Your Responsibilities
- Sawing bar stock, pipes and beams to cutting lists on MEBA, Kaltenbach and Behringer saws
- Picking the cut parts according to orders
- Independently managing the material store and stock disposition
- Setting up and operating the automatic sawing machines to specification
- Dimensional and quality inspection of the cut parts
Your Profile
- Completed apprenticeship in a metalworking trade
- Ideally experience in a sawing department
- Confident reading of cutting and production lists
- Independent and structured working approach
- Team player and reliable

Cutting up to 700 × 400 mm
You set up and operate four NC saws — MEBA DGA 400 (Ø 406 mm or 700 × 400 mm, mitre up to 60°), two Kaltenbach KKS 400 and the Behringer VMS 350 — for dimensionally accurate cuts.
Your cutting starts every major project
At the start of the process chain, your dimensionally accurate cuts feed welded assemblies up to 50 t, heavy roll-bent parts and the CNC machining of components up to 26 m.
Profile variety instead of an assembly line
You saw IPE, HEB and HEA beams, pipes and hollow sections in S235 to S690, fine-grain structural steel and stainless steel 1.4301 — individual part and small batch from batch 1.
