# Energy & power plant engineering: large-dimension steel fabrication from your supplier

As a supplier to energy and power plant engineering we manufacture large-dimension steel fabrication to drawing: support structures, frames and housings up to 50 t part weight and 26 m component length — welded to DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3 and corrosion-protected to EN ISO 12944 in Lorch in the Stuttgart region.
Support structures, frames and housings in large dimensions — welded and machined from a single source.
Single parts up to 50 t — handled safely by the crane system with 25 t lifting capacity.
On CNC gantry milling centres we machine large components up to 26 m in a single setup — flat, square, dimensionally accurate.
Load-bearing welded structures to the highest execution class certified in practice, welding processes to EN ISO 3834-2.
Shot blasting to cleanliness grade Sa 2.5 and multi-coat industrial painting in our own works.

## Steel fabrication supplier for energy & power plant engineering

Power plant engineering needs a supplier who masters steel fabrication in large dimensions: components for energy installations carry high static and dynamic loads and stand outdoors or in a harsh plant environment for decades — including weather, moisture and temperature cycles. That calls for load-bearing welded structures, dimensionally accurate connection and mating faces and corrosion protection that lasts as long as the installation.
As a contract manufacturer working to drawing we produce support structures, frames, housings and foundation components for hydropower, wind power and conventional power plant engineering — from the single part to the small series. We process structural steel S235/S355, fine-grain structural steel up to S1100 and pressure vessel steel P355GH; load-bearing welds are made to DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3.
The entire process chain is under one roof in Lorch: flame cutting on 20 × 3.5 m up to 200 mm, SAW and MAG welding, CNC large-part machining up to 26 m, shot blasting and industrial painting. That shortens lead times, avoids intermediate transports — and secures complete material traceability to EN 10204.

## Typical components for energy & power plant engineering

We manufacture to drawing and customer specification:
- Support structures — large-dimension supporting frameworks and bearing structures, welded to DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3
- Base frames and machine frames — welded with low distortion, on request vibration stress relieved and face-milled
- Housings and enclosures — in steel plate, bent on hydraulic presses up to 1,000 t
- Foundation components — solid steel components for transferring the loads of heavy machinery
- Heavy assemblies — for hydro, wind and conventional power plant engineering, welded and machined ready to install
- Machined large parts — mating faces, hole patterns and threads on gantry milling centres up to 26 m
We manufacture further components to drawing on request — send us your documents for assessment.

## Materials & manufacturing depth for the energy sector

For components in energy and power plant engineering we stock over 40 material grades: structural steel S235/S355, fine-grain structural steel up to S1100 for highly stressed welded structures, wear-resistant steel, stainless steel and pressure vessel steel P355GH. Every batch is marked and traceable with an inspection certificate 3.1 to EN 10204 — we carry out the re-stamping in-house, authorised by GSI SLV München.
Manufacturing depth extends from cutting through SAW and MAG welding to CNC large-part machining on gantry milling centres up to 26 m, the Soraluce FR 20,000 floor-type milling centre and the CNC horizontal boring mills. Shot blasting to Sa 2.5 in the large chamber of the blasting and painting plant and multi-coat industrial painting to EN ISO 12944 complete the process — so that assemblies leave the works ready to install and durably protected.

## Large-part machining for power plant engineering: your requirement, our machine

Large-dimension welded structures for energy engineering are machined completely in-house after welding — on gantry milling centres with travels up to 26 m.
Machining long support structures in a single setup
Gantry milling centre with travel up to 26 m — face surfaces and hole patterns without re-clamping, over the full component length.
Large-dimension support framework
Clamping and milling heavy welded structures
Part weights up to 50 t — handling is carried out by the crane system with 25 t lifting capacity.
Base frames for heavy machinery
Mating faces and connection dimensions to close tolerance
Milling, drilling and tapping in one pass — dimensionally accurate connection faces for final assembly at your works.
Housings with machined flange faces

## Quality & inspection for energy engineering

Load-bearing steel structures for energy and power plant engineering are manufactured to DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3 — the highest execution class certified in practice — with welding processes to EN ISO 3834-2. For pressure-bearing components we are additionally certified to AD 2000 HP 0, audited by GSI SLV.

### Non-destructive testing in-house

Highly stressed welds in energy engineering must be verifiably free of defects — we inspect them directly in production, with no external waiting times.
- Visual testing (VT), penetrant testing (PT) and magnetic particle testing (MT) by our own inspectors with Level 2 qualification to DIN EN ISO 9712.
- Ultrasonic testing (UT) is carried out at our plant on a project basis by certified inspection personnel of our cooperation partner. Supplementary destructive tests — such as tensile tests — are commissioned from accredited partner laboratories and the results are supplied with the documentation. Volumetric testing (radiographic testing RT, ultrasonic testing UT) is, insofar as commissioned, provided by qualified partners.
Inspection scope and documentation are defined together with you according to drawing and standard — from the weld record to the inspection certificate 3.1 to EN 10204.
